After nearly a decade of building the business and serving the community, Rose Moore and Murray Moore have made the big step towards retirement, and the even bigger step back to New Brunswick. Coming to Alberta from the Maritimes in 1998, Rose and Murray established the business in St. Albert as Moore’s CareGivers Home Health Care, Inc. With Rose as a Registered Nurse, and Murray an ordained Minister, they decided to make their mark in the budding industry of home health care services. Starting with a single client, the Moores methodically built their practice, based on Christian principles and the tenet of providing the highest quality of health care to individuals in need, in the comfort of their own homes. |

CareGivers Introduces New Payroll Services
|
In a move targeted at the needs of the self-managed care community, CareGivers is now offering a number of payroll service packages designed to assist members with the administrative duties of maintaining and paying employees. Terrance Graden, Managing Director of CareGivers Home HealthCare Inc. explains the rationale behind the new products: “The reality is that the funding levels for self-managed care effectively force participants to hire staff directly - to become “employers”, as it were. We recognize that, as a full service home care agency, we simply cannot provide the all the home care necessary for these important clients within their budgets; but we firmly believe these new packages will be of great assistance to those who manage their own home care, and that they are both affordable and very price-competitive to other participants and services in the market”. Payroll service clients can chose from the Basic Calculation package, where CareGivers advises them on all their payroll duties; CarePayer, which is a complete outsourcing of the payroll function; or CarePayer Plus, which adds many value added home care service options to the CarePayer service. “We remain firmly committed to our primary business - providing the highest quality home health care services” Graden continues, “but we feel the market will value these services, and we are excited to offer them as an additional benefit for our clients”. Passing the torch—Retiring owner Rose Moore and new Manager Janet Routledge |
Proudly brought to you by: |
A few years later, Rose and Murray migrated their head office to Edmonton, and continued to operate under the CareGivers banner. But, as of the middle of October, that banner is being passed on. And while the faces in ownership and management may have changed, the principles and priorities on which the company was founded has not. CareGivers has taken great care in selecting capable and experienced management to run the business, and of course, our CareGivers staff continue to be the class of the industry. As for Rose and Murray, they are returning to New Brunswick to retire amongst family and friends. And as for the friends they have here in the CareGivers family, we are grateful for all they have done. But we are also confident that Rose and Murray have yet to write their final chapters in the CareGivers history. |
